Good morning, this is a time of Thanksgiving and Agreement. Through chatting with Andy and being in prayer, the Lord is speaking to us through the people. Many believers there are hungry for God, just like we are, and we need to support them in their desire for Him. I declare "Look what the Lord has Done!"
I also return to the word Flourish, this is powerful. God is bringing His word to pass in the earth, the people and the land will Flourish, 'like a green olive tree in the house of the Lord.' Agree with me today, Burundi will flourish, the people will flourish, the church will flourish, Your word will go forth like an arrow piercing the hearts of men, bringing them to repentance. 'Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers out of All', not some but ALL. Deliver the people of God, the nation from the 'tight squeeze', I see a huge fist squeezing the nation, choking the land, all of it. I speak to this spirit and command it to realease this nation right now in Jesus' Holy Name, I break every curse leveled against the nation of Burundi, I put down this devourer that has eaten away the 'green leaves' of the nation. I declare Freedom today for Burundi, I raise up the Name of Jesus, we agree with the Holy C.O.W and rise up to meet and surpass those who have gone on before in the Holy Spirit in heavenly places, Yes. I say Yes, Yes, Yes! and give thanks for everything New-the finance, the education, the business, the church, the government.
I call out the 'mothers and fathers' to rise up in this nation in the Spirit to raise up a generation for You. Cause growth, exponential growth in the church, give understanding, wisdom, beyond their years, New revelation, the spirit of prophecy to fall. No More will accusation and suspicion come into you, Burundi, destroying you from within. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for releasing this nation from the devourer and releasing prosperity into all things. 'Green', Burundi, dear Lord. Green it, even today. I speak greening and growth, new roots to replace the old roots. I see gnarled roots that go deep, I see them being unearthed, dug up, and exposed. The bulldozer?! We stomp on them, crush them under our feet in the Name of Jesus Christ!!
The following is an excerpt from Andy's
weekend journal. Enjoy.
"This weekend (Friday-Sunday) in Muyinga was outstanding. After arriving in Muyinga by local bus service (which was an adventure in itself), we went straight to a small gathering of believers. But since electricity is an issue we were only able to meet for a short time. So I encouraged the people with the word of God and told them to be expecting many blessings from the Lord over this weekend. The Pastor confirmed this and asked them to bring friends to the meetings which were to be held on Saturday afternoon and Sunday Morning.
We stayed at a local inn and on Saturday morning went to the local prison. It was an unbelieveable sight. More on this later. As we entered the building, we could hear the singing already. As we came into the main enclosure of the prison men of all ages were gathered for worship and were singing and dancing. I joined right in!!
O. shared some from God’s word and then I preached on the blessing of God in their lives thru Jesus Christ according to Eph 1:3. There was a lot of singing and dancing and drum playing.
At the end of the meeting 15-20 men raised their hands to accept Jesus as Savior. We prayed with them and then sang some more songs. Their songs are more about words of encouragement taken from biblical stories than they are of worship toward God although they seem to have a genuine love for Him; still most of the songs are directed toward themselves or as a testimony type song directed at others who would be listening.
That afternoon/evening we ministered at the local church. A number of people (10-12) received the Lord in this meeting as O. and I both preached. They seem to love the white-haired preacher from America, who can preach like an African! Of course what they mean is that I don’t just stand behind the pulpit; I move about and shout a bit and jump and tell stories as well as preach. This is their style and they like it; and I seem to be cut from the same mold. We also prayed for the sick.
Sunday morning we had a great service. O. and I again both preached. We seem to be preaching similar messages (praise the Lord for that) and it is centered around the theme of trusting the Lord for a great outpouring of His spirit and to be expecting that God is going to do great things in Burundi . We get a great response from God’s people about this idea. We prayed for 20 people who came to the Lord as Savior in the morning meeting and by the word of knowledge, prayed for another 20 or so for various healings. One remarkable one was a woman who had been to Buja and seen several doctors but could find no relief from a terrible pain she suffered in her shoulder. The Lord gave me word of knowledge for healings for shoulders and she came forward along with maybe 5 others. The Lord touched her and she was completely healed with no more pain. She was waving her arm and praising the Lord and showing all her friends about what the lord had done."
Continue to Thank the Lord and Agree with us as Andy ministers in Burundi, but when he returns just remember, this is only the Beginning. Amy
